A long time ago, in 1972, Bob Lewis, co-founder of DEVO, wrote in LA Staff Magazine about just what exactly DEVO stood for. He wrote: “What we seek then, is that transcendent state most fully engendered by Fred Flintstone — technologically sophisticated cave-man.”
